Transformation Groups in Topology and Geometry

--- The Second Group Action Forum Conference

July 14-17, 2008
University of Massachusetts at Amherst

Welcome

The goal of this conference is to bring together researchers from a wide range of areas of geometry and topology (often viewed as quite disjoint), with the unifying force being the common occurrence of symmetries. The topics to be discussed at this conference include:

Besides the standard conference talks (30 minutes long) there will be invited (1-hour long) plenary lectures delivered by leading researchers in the corresponding areas. These talks will give an overview of a given research area and suggest possible new research directions.
