Text: Stewart, Calculus: Early Transcendentals, Fifth Edition, Thomson (Brooks/Cole), 2003 (new edition)
Calculator: Texas Instruments TI-85 or TI-86.
Homework: Counts 10% of your total grade. Written up and handed in each Thursday at the beginning of class. A random small number of problems will be graded and returned to you at the following Tuesday. No late homework will be accepted. Current assignments are posted above and all assignments can be found here.
Quiz: Most quizzes will be given during the discussion session on Wednesdays. However, there will also be pop up quizzes, in class, on material just taught and/or straight from the assigned homework up to that lecture. The lowest 3 quiz scores will be dropped and the remaining quizzes will contribute 25% of the grade. There will be no make-up for quizzes missed.
Exams: There will be 3 exams total. Each of the first two exams will contribute 20% of your class grade while the last exam will be 25% of your class grade and will be commulative. Check the policy for make-up exams.
