Geometry and Algebra of Polyhedra Seminar

Tuesdays at 4:30
1234 LGRT

CAPS Spring 2006

The main theme of the GAPS seminar is the geometry and algebra of lattice points in polyhedra. We plan to begin with covering some of the material of the forthcoming book Computing the Continuous Discretely by Matthias Beck and Sinai Robins. We will also try to incorporate some of the algebro-geometric topics related to the integer-point enumeration in polyhedra.
We do not assume any prior knowledge of algebraic or convex geometry, so graduate students are especially welcome!
