Class schedule
Textbook
James Stewart, Calculus - Early Transcendentals, 5th edition (Brooks-Cole, 2003).
If you took Math 131 or 132 last year, this should be the same textbook you used last year.
If you do not already own a copy of the textbook, we expect that the bookstores will be
stocking a somewhat cheaper softcover edition which will be functionally identical to the regular hardcover.
Calculators
Calculators are a useful auxiliary tool for the course. However, it will be expected that you can work all
of the problems without the aid of a calculator. Calculators will be permitted
on exams, but it will be expected that all non-arithmetic work is present and explained in your answer.
