Text Book:


Linear Algebra with Applications by Otto Bretscher, 3rd Edition.


Course Description:


Basic concepts of linear algebra. Matrices, determinants, systems of linear equations, vector spaces, linear transformations, and eigenvalues.
Prerequisites: Math 132 or consent of the instructor.


Grading Policy:


25% for homework.
25% for quizzes.
25% for the midterm exam.
25% for the final exam.


Examinations:


MIDTERM: It will cover 1.1 to 3.3. Time: Starting at 7:00pm on Thursday, March 15. Location: Marcus 131. Practice Exam and Solutions
Please make yourself available until 9:00pm, although the exam is probably shorter than 2 hours.

More details about the exam: According to the course chair, this is a 1-hour exam plus some extra time up to 20 minutes. No books, notes or any kind of cheat sheets. No calculators or any kind of devices which can function as calculators.

No makeups will be given, but 2 lowest scores will be dropped.
