Course News:
I will give Review Sessions on Friday December 14, 2:30-3:30, as well
as Monday December 17, 3-4. Rooms TBA. If you don't hear about the
room, come to Farshid's office, 1118 LGRT.
FRIDAY DEC 14 Review @ 2:30 in 1634 LGRT. The room is locked so if I'm
a few minutes late, please wait quietly.
The Final Exam is scheduled for Wednesday December 19, 1:30-3:30 pm.
Farshid's section (Section 4) is in GSMN 51, Goessman Lab Addition, 51.
Anne Schwartz's section was scheduled for LGRC A 301 but
has been moved to GSMN 51, same room as Farshid's section..
Rob Kusnder's section will take the exam in GSMN 20.
Goessman 51 and 20 are in the basement of the chemistry building
adjacent to Lederle. From the basement, there is a tunnel connecting them.
Turn right, 51 is at the end on the left, for 20 you have to go around a
couple of more corners if you go that way. Good luck studying, see you
at the exam.
Here is the Sample Final Exam.
There is also a Brief List of Topics
prepared by Prof. Dan Yasaki. Feel free to consult
Dan
Yasaki's web page for Math 235 in Spring 2007 which has last
year's sample final with solutions.
Here are Sample Midterm Questions
Feel free also to consult last
year's sample midterm: it can be found on Professor Yasaki's
webpage -- together with solutions!! Also you will notice that there
is a large overlap between last year's sample exam and this year's.

2) I might post some FARSHID'S
COURSE NOTES
to mywebsite.
Quizzes: Quizzes may be given on occasion. they may or may not
be announced ahead of time. They will consist of one or two very
simple questions. Absolutely no make-up quizzes will be given. Your
lowest quiz grade will be dropped when computing your quiz average
score.
Homework: Homework will be posted on The
Homework Page and collected regularly at the beginning of lecture,
usually on Thursdays. Late homework will not be accepted and the
lowest homework grade will be dropped. Be sure to read and follow
the homework rules.
Attendance: Attendance in mind as well as body is required. I
consider attendance AND participation important ingredients for your
success in the course. Frequent absences will be reflected in your
grade.
Extra Credit: Some extra credit problems will be included in
the homework assignments, or given during class. The number of points for each
problem will vary, as will the difficulty of the problem. The student
with the most points at the end of the semester wins a fabulous
