Course Syllabus
HOMEWORK POLICY: The underlined
problems are for you to turn in to me during class on the due date
given. From the remaining problems, we will have a quiz at the
end of class on the day the assignment is due. The quiz will be
open notes/book, so you may choose to do all of the problems for
homework, and then just turn them all in at quiz time. If you
miss class on the day of a quiz, you cannot take a makeup quiz;
instead you must complete all HW problems (not just the underlined
ones) from that section to receive credit.

EXAMS - Please notify me in advance if you cannot make the exam
- MIDTERM EXAM: Tuesday, June 22 in class
- FINAL EXAM: Thursday, July 8 in class
- The exam is CUMULATIVE, but will heavily stress chapters 4-7.
- You should bring a pencil or pen
- You may bring a notecard for formulas. You may use either a 3X5 card
(both sides) or a half sheet of letter paper (one side ONLY). All
other types will be confiscated.
- You should bring a calculator. However, you will be expected to show
work, so you may NOT use your calculator to automatically calculate
mean, median, variance, std. dev, r or the least squares line. The
calculator is only there for you to do calculations, so you should only use it
to do so. Answers without justification will receive little or no
credit.
- You will have unlimited time to do the exam.
