I would like to ask your help with letting your seniors
interested in a math PhD know about an opportunity that we have here at
Albany. Recently we obtained a GAANN grant from the Department of
Education that pays competitive stipends to a limited number of PhD
students - see the attached flyer. In case you do not have much contact
with your prospective graduates, perhaps you can forward this message to
your Director of Undergraduate Studies or someone else who has more
contact with them. Personally, I am looking for someone interested in
algebra. If you happen to know such a person, can you let him/her know
about this opportunity? Also, there is general info about my research
