Teach for America (Posted 9-8-2009)
Good Evening,
I am a campus campaign coordinator for Teach for America. Teach for
America strives to place outstanding college graduates in the nation's
worst school systems to give all children an opportunity to receive an
excellent education. We are looking to recruit UMASS Students,
students you teach every day to make a difference in the lives of
hundreds of children.
Although we welcome all majors to apply, math and science is
particularly needed right now in our schools as children in low income
communities are increasingly falling behind.Teach for America has many
incentives to offer that make this program appealing and
competitive. I would love to give a 3-4 minute presentation to your
classes about our program.
At this point, we are looking to reach juniors and seniors.
