Mathematics and Statistics Seminars at the University of Massachusetts
The faculty of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, in conjunction
with the faculty at the other Five Colleges, support many seminars.
These include both traditional seminars featuring outside speakers and
seminars organized on topics of current interest to the faculty and
graduate students.
Seminar Calendar
In addition, the Department holds a weekly
Colloquium on topics of general interest to the department. All faculty and graduate
students are encouraged to attend.
Each year, the Department of Mathematics at each of
Amherst College,
Mount Holyoke College,
Smith College and
the University of Massachusetts Amherst hosts
a Connecticut Valley Colloquium and an Undergraduate Connecticut Valley
Colloquium given by distinguished visiting mathematicians.
