Spaces of hyperelliptic curves with simple singularities


Abstract: The space of n-pointed smooth rational curves can be compactified to Hassett's space of weighted pointed stable curves. Different choices of weights lead to different compactifications related by well-understood birational morphisms. In this work in progress, we study an analogous picture for a certain space of (pointed) smooth hyperelliptic curves.
