Reading Seminar in Algebraic Geometry
Kodaira-Spencer and Kuranishi

In an attempt to put into perspective this semester's topic, I will review some basic facts about families of complex manifolds and Kodaira-Spencer theory of deformations. Then I will describe briefly the construction of Kuranishi spaces. The talk is expected to be accessible to graduate students and (complex) differential geometers.
